Your data is stored in Canada

Your check file and its backups are stored on our own servers in Québec, Canada. That includes what you enter, your result, your identity check record and your consent.

A few trusted tools we use, such as payments, the identity check, support chat and order emails, also run outside Canada. See the full list in our privacy policy.

What do you collect?

Your name and any other names you used, date and place of birth, sex, current and past addresses, email, phone, and any convictions you declare. We also collect what we need to verify your identity. Your card details go straight to our payment provider. We never see or keep them.

How long do you keep it?

We keep your check file only as long as our police partners require for audits, and so employers can confirm a report is real. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

How do you protect it?

Encrypted connections, encrypted backups that cannot be changed or deleted before they expire, server access by key only, two-step sign-in for staff, and staff access limited by job role.
