Get Your Partner LinkLast updated: July 2026
Most organizations still handle volunteer and candidate record checks the same way they did twenty years ago: send each person to a police station, wait weeks for a paper result, then chase the photocopy. Volunteer intake stalls, coordinators lose track of who has completed what, and the season is half over before everyone is cleared.
The partner program replaces that errand with a link. You place one link — or a QR code — on your website, volunteer page, or newsletter. Anyone who needs a check completes an official name-based Canadian criminal record check online, usually in about 15 minutes, and pays their own standard fee. With their explicit consent, the completed result appears under your organization's name in a live dashboard. There is nothing for your organization to install, run, or pay for.
This is the same official check individuals order from us every day. The difference is that it is branded to your organization and the results are organized for you instead of arriving as loose PDFs. If you already screen employees, our business portal and pre-employment screening tools cover higher-volume hiring. The partner link is built for the lighter, self-serve case: volunteers, candidates, and members who pay for their own check.
Why organizations use it
One link or QR code does the work. The applicant pays their own fee, so there is no budget line, invoice, or procurement process for your organization. Nothing to install and no software to run.
A live completion dashboard shows you who has finished. Applicants review their own result first, and nothing reaches your dashboard until they tick a consent box that is unticked by default. Results are stored in Canada and handled under PIPEDA. See how the check works.
No minimums, no contracts, no enterprise onboarding. Whether you clear ten volunteers a year or a few hundred candidates, the setup is the same link. Compare it to a traditional screening program.
Simple Process
Paste one link on your website, volunteer sign-up page, or newsletter, or print the QR code on a poster. It works on any website builder because it is just a link — nothing to install.
Each person verifies their identity and completes an official name-based criminal record check online, usually in about 15 minutes. They pay their own standard fee — see pricing for the current rate.
When an applicant explicitly consents, the completed result appears under your organization's name automatically. No consent means no linkage — the applicant stays in control of their own record.
Common Questions
Nothing. The applicant pays the standard check fee — the same amount they would pay coming to us directly. There is no setup fee, subscription, minimum volume, or contract for your organization. If you would rather cover checks for your volunteers yourself, ask us about organization-billed volume options; the partner link itself stays free for you.
A completed result is shared with your organization only if the applicant explicitly ticks a consent box. That box is unticked by default, the applicant can revoke it, and all data is Canadian-hosted and handled under PIPEDA. We would rather lose a linkage than blur consent — so some applicants will complete their check without sharing it with you, and that is the design working as intended.
No — we provide name-based criminal record checks. A Vulnerable Sector check is issued by police services, and fingerprints may be required as part of that process — no online service replaces it. Whether a role needs one depends on its duties, your province, and your insurer or governing body: confirm with your police service or insurer, and we'll help you ask the right questions. Use the partner program for roles where a name-based check is appropriate. Worth knowing: our value is speed and completion tracking, not price. Our honest breakdown of which check your organization needs walks through where each one applies.
Any of them. It is a single link or QR code, so it works on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, a Facebook page, an email newsletter, or a printed poster. There is nothing to install, no plugin, and no developer required. If you can add a link to your site, you can add this.
It suits any role where a name-based criminal record check is sufficient — many volunteer positions, staff and candidate roles, and member screening. For roles that legally mandate a fingerprint Vulnerable Sector check (some positions working with children or vulnerable adults), send those applicants through the police process. Many organizations use us for the majority of their roles and the police option only where it is required. Read more about what Vulnerable Sector checks mean before you decide.
Tell us about your organization using the form below. We confirm the roles you screen, set up your branded partner page on a short call, and hand you the link — usually your page is live before the call ends. Have general questions first? Our FAQ and contact page cover the basics.
